In September 2018 we’re taking three Sundays to look at the short book written by the ancient prophet Habakkuk. His book takes the form of a conversation with God in which Habakkuk wrestles with God’s justice and judgment. Won’t God put things right? Will God really use suffering and injustice to establish his ends? Is that something a good God can do?
Habakkuk learns that God’s sovereignty over this world is absolute, and much more complex than he had realised. He learns to trust God’s perfect justice and his perfect timing, and helps us to do the same.
