On Tuesday mornings a group of women from the church meet to study the bible and pray together.
On Thursdays we meet at 7.45pm in the church halls. The usual pattern is that the 1st & 3rd Thursdays are prayer meetings and the 2nd & 4th Thursdays are bible studies. We either study topics or we work through books of the bible.
It was 500 years ago – apparently the 31st October 1517 – when Martin Luther nailed his theses to the church door and his colours to the mast, kick-starting the ‘Reformation’ in Europe. At the Tuesday and Thursday Bible Studies in the autumn we’re marking this 500th anniversary by studying the five core truths rediscovered by the reformers: that salvation is according to Scripture alone, in Christ alone, by grace alone, through faith alone, for the glory of God alone. What does all this mean, and why does it matter? Come along and we’ll find out!
