It was 500 years ago – apparently the 31st October 1517 – when Martin Luther nailed his theses to the church door and his colours to the mast, kick-starting the ‘Reformation’ in Europe. At the Thursday Bible Studies in the autumn we’re marking this 500th anniversary by studying the five core truths rediscovered by the reformers: that salvation is according to Scripture alone, in Christ alone, by grace alone, through faith alone, for the glory of God alone.
